Digital Signature
General Description
Digital signatures in the digital world are equivalent to the written signature in all aspects, both at a legal/contractual and personal level.
Just like the presence of a written signature in a document proves its validity, a digital signature is associated with a digital document, and its presence also represents legal validity.
This characteristic demands a security mechanism for the digital signature in the physical world, for example:
- Secure generation of a digital signature
- Technical or semantic validation and verification of the digital signature, signed document and the medium used to digitally sign it
- Filing or duration of the certificates used to digitally sign it
It is recommended that you know the fields in which to use the electronic signature, along with the advantages that this may bring.
