netfocus DirecSign Certificate

Description

Netfocus is registered under the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Commerce as a Certification Service Provider, with the ability to emit certificates based on advanced electronic signatures.

DirecSign Certificate is netfocus' Class 2 and Class 3 electronic certificates.

Class 2 Certificates
Class 2 certificates provide high level guarantees since the information appearing on the certificate has been directly checked by the Certification Entity, usually requiring the direct presence of the interested party, in order to certify the attributes that can later permit a series of specific actions and present the necessary documentation in order to use these attributes in full guarantee. Therefore, Class 2 certificates could be used in mid to high value transactions.
Class 3 Certificates
Class 3 certificates are well known for providing a high level of guarantee, as stated in the Electronic Signature Law, to be used with a secure signature creation mechanism in order to produce recognised electronic signatures. They fulfil the same level of guarantees as Class 2 certificates, along with the civil responsibility of the company as stated in current legislation on recognised certificates.

The certification services provided by netfocus perfectly complement netfocus eVisado (Stamping), offering a level of security given by electronic signatures in transactions and communications made between Professionals and their Professional College, as well as a future interaction with the Government and private corporations.

The applications for digital signatures in the corporate world for a Professional College may vary:

Signatures and sending of Telematic stamps
Electronic votes
Accreditation for controlling access to restricted zones of a college´s web site such as:

The certificates emitted by netfocus also can be used in electronic transactions with the Catalonian Government, since they are classified by the la Catalonian Certification Agency (CATCert).
