Specific Technology and Digital Innovation for eTransforming

Netfocus has a suite (NES) where we can find the technological components necessary to tackle the most prominent aspects of an eTransformation process (validation of the authenticity of the electronic information, authentication of electronic identity, registration of electronic evidence or the incorporating security in the production of electronic information)

When an organisation carries out an eTransformation of one or several of its processes, a technological platform is essential which can sufficiently resolve the needs common to this type of project.

Some of these needs require appropriate market solutions such is the case of managers both of documents and of content. However, there is another type of electronic need in eTransformation which does not have a consolidated range of commercial products. In this list of needs, the following are noteworthy:

  • The need to validate the authenticity of the electronic information that the organisation manages, and which could originate in the company itself or in third parties

  • The need to have reliable mechanisms for ensuring the electronic identity of the people participating in the process and their functions in relation to it

  • The need to have reliable mechanisms for registering electronic evidence which allows us to irrefutably prove what happened in each of the actions making up the process

  • The need to have mechanisms that incorporate security in the production of the electronic information of the organisation with either an internal or external destination. We cannot consider the eTransformation to be complete if the receiver of the information still requires us to provide a physical format

It is difficult to find eTransformation projects that do not address the needs of the four previous points.

The basic technology from which it is possible to resolve each of the aspects mentioned is concerned with the management of digital certificates, the digital signature or in general the coding of data.

In order to cover all of these needs and others, netfocus has developed a family of technological components under the name of Netfocus eTransformation Suite (NES).
