Measuring success
When we have completed the setup of our first eTransformed project, we can begin to measure the reality and compare it with the forecasts and the analyses used to define the eTransformation project.
The objective of observing and measuring the results of eTransformation is twofold:
- Firstly, to identify the possibilities for improvement that may have gone unnoticed in our initial analysis.
- Secondly, to acquire additional and specific knowledge to refine the metrics that we will use to predict the behaviour of future eTransformations
The measurement of the parameters that determine the level of success of the eTransformation will be much more simple and effective if it is contemplated as another requirement of the eTransformation project. The selection of parameters to be measured should be included in the tasks of the defining the requirements of the project, as the choice of these parameters will only be correct if they offer a true and sufficient representation of the true objectives of the project.
