Having been placed at the disposal of the Guild of Industrial Technical Engineers of Tarragona (CETIT), the eTransformation solutions of netfocus have made it possible for the corporation under public law to sign an agreement with the Reus City Council for the submission and signature of administrative documents via telematic media, with electronic signatures.
The agreement signed between the CETIT and the Reus City Council will allow for planning permission applications to be made via the municipal website, encompassing not only the applicant’s signature but also the approval of the Guild, an essential requisite where such applications are concerned. The procedures necessary to obtain that approval will have been undertaken telematically beforehand, thanks to the netfocus eVisado solution.
The transferral of the process in question to the electronic arena (eTransformation) entails various advantages for citizens and professionals (flexibility, avoidance of travel, reduction in the amount of documentation to be printed out, etc.), as well as for the Council and the Guild (high level of service availability, reduced volume of records in paper format to be filed and handled, centralisation of approval-related data, file security and digital copies, etc.).
The CETIT has been using netfocus eVisado since 2003. The solution makes it possible to perform the entire process of verifying a professional project to be approved (from the initial capture of data to the receipt of approval) in the digital domain, even if documentation is submitted on paper, thus reaping the benefits of telematic data processing.
Professionals who need to obtain approval for their projects are thus able to carry out the entire procedure of making an application, submitting and collecting their documents and making the corresponding payments via the internet, at any time of day and without needing to travel to the headquarters of the Guild. Thanks to the agreement and the functionalities of the solutions of netfocus, developers of works or activities of the kind in question will also be able to undertake the procedure of applying to the Reus City Council for authorisation and permission telematically.
